Currently in beta, AI Assistant is available at no additional cost for Acrobat Individual, Pro, and Teams subscribers on desktop and web (English). Reader users will gain access in the coming weeks. Upon exiting beta, AI Assistant’s full range of functionalities will be offered through a new add-on subscription plan.

Beyond PDF: A Universal Solution

AI Assistant isn’t limited to PDFs. It can work with various document formats like Word, PowerPoint, and meeting transcripts, making it a versatile tool for various needs.

Future-Proofing the Document Experience

Adobe envisions a future where AI Assistant can:

  • Analyze multiple documents: Surface key information from various sources, regardless of format.
  • Support authoring and editing: Simplify initial drafts, suggest content variations, and optimize format and layout.
  • Introduce intelligent creation: Integrate Adobe Express and Firefly features to enhance document creativity and personalization.
  • Streamline collaboration: Analyze feedback, propose changes, and highlight conflicting comments for efficient teamwork.

“Generative AI offers the potential to unlock the true value of PDFs by transforming them into actionable knowledge and professional-looking content,” said Abhigyan Modi, Senior Vice President, Document Cloud. “AI Assistant is just the beginning of leveraging this technology to empower users and reshape the future of intelligent document experiences.”
