Solutions Architect – San Francisco

Fragment is hiring Solutions Architects in San Francisco to own the technical backbone of how it connects to enterprise customers.

The company came out of stealth in October 2026 with $56 million in funding, and its AI agents resolve procurement exceptions inside the systems large manufacturers and distributors already run.

Every deal runs through a customer’s IT organisation, from architecture reviews and security questionnaires to the integration itself, and this is the first role of its kind at Fragment.

What you will do

  • Join active deals alongside the Account Executive as the technical authority in the room, running architecture discussions with customer IT and scoping integration feasibility before a contract is signed.
  • Own the security review track that can make or break enterprise deal timelines, driving infosec questionnaires, data residency and access-control discussions, network and firewall design, and compliance reviews from first call to sign-off.
  • Build integrations yourself after signature, connecting Fragment to customer SAP instances through IDocs, BAPIs, OData services, RFCs and SAP Integration Suite, plus the adjacent systems around them.
  • Define the patterns everyone after you will use, including reusable connector designs, integration runbooks, security review response libraries and documentation that turns individual expertise into a scalable capability.
  • Work directly with engineering to harden and expand Fragment’s integration layer, surfacing what real customer landscapes demand and pressure-testing connector designs against actual enterprise environments.

You may be a fit if you

  • Have 10 or more years of relevant experience, with substantial time spent integrating to or within SAP environments.
  • Are credible with a Fortune 500 enterprise architect, a CISO’s team and a sceptical SAP Basis admin on day one, and hands-on enough to ship the integration yourself in week one.
  • Come from SAP integration consulting or an enterprise SAP centre of excellence, enterprise SaaS solutions architecture, or the integration-platform world, and know SAP interfaces cold.
  • Ramp on unfamiliar, heavily customised and poorly documented landscapes in days, not months, and flex beyond SAP to Oracle, Coupa, Ariba and homegrown systems.
  • Measure your week by integrations shipped, not diagrams drawn, and treat security reviews as a craft that closes deals in weeks instead of stalling them for a quarter.
  • Have early-stage company experience, exposure to Oracle ERP, Coupa or Ariba, familiarity with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 from the vendor side, exposure to agentic AI or LLMs, or enough ABAP literacy to read and debug inside a customer’s system.
