About Fragment

Fragment is a San Francisco based enterprise AI company building software that turns a company’s operating knowledge into autonomous action.

Its Autonomous Context Engine, known as ACE, connects information across existing systems and captures the policies, relationships and institutional knowledge that experienced employees rely on every day.

Agents built on ACE investigate exceptions such as order changes and invoice discrepancies, decide on the right response and carry out authorised resolutions, working with data where it lives so customers do not need to migrate data into a new platform.

Fragment deliberately started with direct procurement at large physical goods companies, where order changes, invoice discrepancies, shortages and tariff changes constantly revise purchasing plans. The company says its approach is already at work at Graybar and CNX, and it prices its software around work completed by its agents rather than user seats. Fragment says the average customer has seen 5 million to 10 million US dollars in impacted costs, a reduction of around 50 percent in exceptions in the first few weeks, and over 90 percent of exceptions resolved without human intervention.
