Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Cambridge, UK, CuspAI is building an AI-native platform to accelerate the discovery of advanced materials for semiconductors, clean energy, electronics, carbon capture and advanced manufacturing.

The company’s AI Materials Foundry connects more than 45 global partners across industry, research laboratories and data providers, enabling organisations to move from material design and simulation to synthesis and validation on a single platform.

Its leadership team is advised by globally recognised AI and technology pioneers, including Nobel laureate Geoffrey Hinton, Turing Award winner Yann LeCun, former ASML CTO Martin van den Brink, and former Apple and Google AI executive John Giannandrea.

CuspAI’s proprietary AI platform, MIRA, can explore vast chemical search spaces and dramatically reduce the time required for materials research. In one customer project with Finnish chemicals company Kemira, the platform screened 300 trillion potential molecular structures, identified 20 validated novel candidates, and completed the discovery programme in six months, a process that traditionally takes years.
